Legalize! - Marijuana
Hey, Ladies and gentlemen, today I want to talk to you about a serious subject: Marijuana

Actually not that bad for you.
There are a lot of arguments as to whether it's really harmful, and a lot of arguments that claim it's mostly harmless.
Instead of just shouting out "Weed is actually not that bad for mankind" with a lot of cursing and funny claims that specific people are homosexual and / or possibly involved with kids, I'm going to make this post a little more structured.
1. Marijuana should not be banned for medical use.
This is one of the most important reasons as to why I'm writing this, medicinal Marijuana needs to be legal in every bloody country, why? Because not only does it provide help for a wide array of diseases and disorders, including Glaucoma, Aids-patients, Cancer-treatment patients, and people with Neurological and eating disorders, but it's also a great painkiller, a lot of people have experienced various pills and other drugs that are said to be good painkillers leave them with other side effects. People who get headaches and abdominal pains from using the legal painkillers have often experienced Marijuana to leave them feeling much more refreshed and clear-headed after use.
And think about it, when a person who is unable to eat gets medical Marijuana and gains weight, returning to their normal life, living happily with their family, that is just too good of a reason to make it legal. Marijuana causes cancer-treatment patients to feel less nauseated and leaves them with a lesser pain than other medications. People with ticks will no longer have muscle-contractions and spasms, causing them to temporarily to be free of their disorder. Come on, this is for the greater good, how can anyone deny anyone the right to feeling better?

That red cross means it serves a medical purpose. A very good one.
2. Recreational Marijuana is not as bad as you think it is.
Speaking of feeling better, the dangers of smoking Marijuana is incredibly over-exaggerated. The effects of smoking Marijuana are temporary, and will not cause permanent damage, like alcohol and tobacco. You have no chance to get lung cancer from smoking Marijuana; it will not damage your brain or cause you to go insane, like you may have heard from the people who are against it.
Marijuana is not harmless, but from what is being told, you'd think it was as bad as Heroin or Cocaine. Marijuana is a soft drug, and is not physically addictive, any person could quit smoking Marijuana without getting abstinences, regardless of how much they used and how often.
3. Marijuana will improve the economy.
Marijuana has saved California from going bankrupt. If we legalize it on a global scale, we can tap into an incredible amount of income. And we want income; income is what creates hospitals, roads, economy and growth (But you already knew that, didn't you?).
We are spending an insane amount of money to arrest Marijuana offenders, not only keeping them imprisoned, but we also spend a lot of money trying to find them, and trying to convict them. What, about 40% of the modern society are criminals? Think about it, it's not that there are people who need to change; there are laws that need changing.

It's all about these, folks.
4. If Marijuana is legalized, the society will collapse.
Even if we legalize Marijuana, there is nobody forcing you to try it, or use it regularly, more often than not, people who use it want it legalized, so there won't be any difference in amount of users. Amsterdam does not have more regular users than America (in a percentage obviously, there are a whole lot more Americans than Dutch people.) And it's still illegal in America.
A lot of people would think that "If Marijuana is legalized, everyone will get high all the time and the society will collapse", but if you really believe that, go stick your head in a plastic bag for 30 seconds. We have alcohol and tobacco as well, not everyone are drunk all the time. In fact, we have learned when it's appropriate to be drunk, and when we have time to take a cigarette. With Marijuana, we won't turn into a society that is high all the time. Fact.
5. Legalizing it will give us control of the market.

Not really this button, but you get the point.
If you have children, this will be the convincing part for you. Marijuana is a market where, more often than not, a criminal offender is dealing Marijuana to anyone who wants to buy it. Regardless of age. By denying these people to sell drugs to the people who are underage, we can increase safety and take away the chance of young children using Marijuana.
And if a young adult does want to buy Marijuana from a dealer, there is a chance there is something else in it. Like Heroin or other, addictive drugs. That is potentially the real danger for any person who purchases Marijuana. If the state regulates what is being sold, we can prevent people from becoming junkies; decrease the chance that anyone gets into a dangerous environment where they associate with dealers and other junkies. We can give people a chance to avoid things they didn't really want to put inside their bodies, and this leads me to the final point:
6. Marijuana is NOT a gateway drug
Many of you think that Marijuana is a sure-fire way to be more positive to harder drugs, but this is not the case. When you buy Marijuana, you have to buy it from a dealer, thus forcing you to have to join a very dangerous environment, where drugs such as LSD and Cocaine exist. People who are using the "Harder drugs" are very likely to have tried Marijuana, not the other way around.

This is what you REALLY want your kids to avoid.
There are a lot of people who use Marijuana without trying anything else in their entire life. In fact, you are just as likely to use hard drugs from drinking Alcohol or smoking regular Tobacco. With state regulating what is legal, you can buy Marijuana and avoid the other drugs if you don't wish to get involved with anything else. If the state legalizes Marijuana, you are free to make any choice you want to make, like any adult should have the right to choose anything else for themselves.
